Louis III

Louis XIII is the flagship of Rémy Martin. The grapes for this exceptional cognac come from Grande Champagne, a region renowned for the quality of its eaux-de-vie. The blend consists of eaux-de-vie aged for at least 40 years, with some dating back more than 100 years. The result? An exceptionally complex, rich and velvety taste. The name Louis XIII pays tribute to King Louis XIII of France. He was king when the Rémy Martin family settled in the Cognac region. Louis XIII also played an important role in the history of cognac: during his reign, cognac was recognised as a category of its own among eaux-de-vie. And then there’s the finish. It’s every bit as remarkable as the cognac itself, lingering on the palate for up to an hour. The iconic crystal decanter is a story in itself. Its design is inspired by the original metal flask from the 16th century. Each decanter is mouth-blown and individually numbered, making every one unique.
